[It's been a little while since we've checked in on these two. Last we checked, they were getting up to the kind of shenanigans that no doubt have gotten Retsu all kinds of shit from his coworkers. It's friendly enough, at least, and with the kingdom's masquerade drawing nearer, work is picking up more than ever as security tightens.
And then one morning, in the midst of a particularly irritating (if not in any way difficult) arrest, there's a crack of magic so powerful it washes over damn near the entire city. And given the fireworks, it's not hard to find the epicenter of it--a new little bakery that's been all the rage, of late.
Sure, it was only healing magic, but with that much power, even a healer is dangerous.
